Emerging biomedical applications are very diverse and will provide substantial growth for the future from a FDA approved dental application to some of the latest applications in the field of medicine.

Many of the emerging medical applications center around the biodegradability of Phosphazene based materials in the following types of soft tissue applications:

• Scaffolding  for bone regeneration
• Adhesives for internal use within the body
• Drug delivery mechanisms
  

In addition, non-biodegradable polyphosphazenes are under development for dental and other biomedical applications.

Many of these applications are well under way in academic laboratories and will have a short path to market.
